Thank you Scott.I spend long hours away from a computer, listening to whatever I have on my mp3 player. My question is: where do you find mp3s online? Mixtapes are fine. Negative points for file sharing torrent sites. Here's my new favorite. http://www.factmag.com/category/mixes/I've been rocking the Ariel Pink mix, it's fairly bizarre.

I purchased a satellite radio a year and a half ago. I never looked back. Stern and more music than I could listen to. If I HAVE to listen to commercial radio, I listen to sports talk radio. It gives me a great sense of satisfaction to listen to people who are complete fucking morons.

Ray...uh huh
Great song .The world needs more of RC
anyone have a melodica i can borrow?
Usually I have no problem finding the information I need on the internet, but after repeated attempts that haven't given me what I'm looking for, I'm turning to the De-Griefer for help.Does anyone know if there's some sort of archive of these Live at Schubas records? The Schubas website needs some help (it was going to let me buy an advance ticket to a show in 09), so maybe when things are working correctly, all of these Live at Schubas records are available. But I find them all over the place online, usually free to listen to. Internet Archive, MySpace, random music search websites... But I can't find any sort of master list. I should back up a little...When a band plays at Schubas in Chicago, the show gets recorded as long as the band is OK with that. I think they make CDs that are for sale after the show, or available for pre-order or something. My question is: Are they all available online, or are they just uploaded by individuals randomly. Signs point to random, but they almost always have the album art you see to the left, which makes it seem like they're all coming from the same source. Comment too long. Go into settings. Click on block list. Type in name. PWN3D
blocking someone is actually an amazing thing - the FB database management careful scrubs any references to the blocked people so you never see any reference to them and they never see any references to you, even if you are both participated in a series of comments on the same status/link/note/wallpost, etc. Weird.

That's a pretty rockin' little track there, Mike!
I've got a project i could do myself but i just don't have the time for it and don't want to interrupt the workflow on my own digital audio processing setup. Wondering if there's an operation in Lawrence that would be ideal for this:Have about 10 songs (some w/ multiple takes or false starts) on 8 tracks on a Roland VS-890 portable digital recorder. It's a model that is infuriatingly incompatible with anything else. The only approach i've been able to hit on to get the individual tracks off it and onto a computer into .WAV files is to make multiple passes through all the content while routing four of the 8 tracks through the 2 stereo busses. Then make another complete pass grabbing the other 4 tracks. Then line them up and split into songs. Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

For some reason my turntable is giving no treble. Could be in the turntable or the preamp, I guess. Can somebody shoot me some troubleshooting pointers?I recently re-soldered the turntable connections in the preamp; would that be part of it?

If you or your band were to put out an album today, would you bother with CDs or vinyl? I know the demand for the physical object in regards to music is down, but is it dead and done? To me, it just doesn't feel like a record if it's just files in my music folder. Maybe I'm the only one.

I've bought more vinyl the past year than cds. I think selling a nifty memory stick labeled with your band & art would be AWESOME! Even if they take all the music off, it's still advertising for you... Maybe someday they'll be cheap enough to do this...
>>7266I don't. the only one i really change much is the tremolo, 3 times a set, currently. not a big deal.

>>7268they're slowly getting there. you could put 3 albums with all artwork on one of these easily, with plenty of extras. i picked one up the other day. the store label comes off pretty quick with a few wipes of mineral spirits.or, this might provide a good opportunity for a "split release" with another band that costs each band 4 bucks. could be worth it.http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0250132

I'm trying to find a recording of (god I hope his "name" is Joe Moon) Joe Moon. I used to love it and longing for it now. It was all D-tuned an all. How do I find this? He was/is a Kansas man I believe.
that would suck.
yep
Turkeys must die in order for us to give thanks. As for the humans, hell we've been here far too long to even take a bet on any extinction action. So, I bet everyone did not die and never will. Celebrate dead turkey day with me and live!
