heard about that ... i briefly studied North Indian raga under two of Ali Akbar Khan's students and the experience affected me musically forever. I saw AAK play once in Kansas City many years ago, it was amazing. I have always like the sarod better than the sitar anyway.

He was at the Folly about 10 years ago or more. I too was there. The tabla player was Swapan Chaudhuri
