I've got all but the last line. Plz halp.
Actually, I'm not SO sure about the second to the last line.
.
Dogwood
I feel just like a dogwood tree,
Yeah somebody come carved a cross outta me.
Carried me down to Jerusalem,
And people they gave me to the carpenter’s son.
.
Yeah they carried my weight up the Golgotha plain,
The sky turned black, and Lord it started to rain.
Police with the hammers drove his white hands into me,
And made him a part of the dogwood tree.
.
Yeah, he may be gone far away from here,
The sun may shine bright and the sky might be clear.

But the iron that they used (ah) to nail him to me
Was dark in the bark of the dogwood tree.

That is what I had. I had some problems because another transcription had "iron" as "eye" and had "was dark as the bark of the dogwood tree." But that didn't sound right.

Thanks!

i transcribed it for my myspace
and i'm fairly sure it's "remains dark in the bark"

you know it's a cover?

It doesn't sound like his writing, but who the hell does he cover? There is NO evidence of it on the Internet anywhere.

And I'm not sure that your transcription is correct. I just can't tell what the fuck he says, no matter what people suggest.

>> No.4038

my mistake - it's "lingers dark"
